- Squat — bar on back, squat to depth, stand
- Bench Press — bar to chest, press to lockout
- Deadlift — bar from floor to lockout
Your total is the sum of your best successful attempt in each lift.
Olympic Weightlifting
Two lifts, judged on maximum weight:

Powerlifting
3 attempts per lift. Your best successful attempt counts. Judged by 3 referees on depth, pause, and lockout. Weight classes from 59kg to 120kg+ (varies by federation).
Olympic Weightlifting
3 attempts per lift. Your best successful snatch + best successful clean & jerk = your total. Judged by 3 referees. Olympic sport since 1896 (men) and 2000 (women).
